Biography
With over 20 years of experience in environmental consulting and civil and sanitary engineering,
she is in charge of directing the environmental assessments of the firm's projects.
Her experience includes advising on iconic tourism, hotel, and industrial development projects in the
country. She provides guidance on environmental compliance, sustainability, waste, pollution,
climate change, and protected areas.
She is a civil engineer graduated from the Pedro Henríquez Ureña National University, Santo
Domingo, in 2001. She obtained her master’s in engineering and environmental Protection from the
Autonomous University of Santo Domingo (UASD) in 2009 and a Master's in Environmental
Pollution from the Polytechnic University of Madrid, Spain, in 2005.
Additionally, she has participated in various workshops and seminars focused on her professional
development in different areas such as the design of sanitary sewerage (Association of Sanitary
and Environmental Engineers – ADIS) in October 2001, a workshop on identification and description
of environmental impacts, PMAA and environmental diagnosis of megaprojects, UNPHU-
SEMARENA, in December 2006, a 40-hour Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) workshop as
part of the USAID Environmental and Labor Excellence Program for CAFTA-DR in 2009, and a
workshop on capacity building for the use and evaluation of ISO 14001 Environmental Management
Systems, also under the USAID program in 2009. Moreover, she completed an international
advanced specialization course in solid waste management (40 hours) from HAACI in April 2025
and an international advanced specialization course on climate change: adaptation and mitigation
tools (20 hours) from HAACI in September 2023.
She is a full professor of the Diploma Program in Environment, Natural Resources and their
Protection at UNPHU, Santo Domingo and La Vega Campus (2011), and an assistant professor in
the Diploma Program in Environmental Management at UNIBE, Santo Domingo. She is a member
of the Dominican College of Engineers, Architects, and Surveyors (CODIA) and the Dominican
Association of Environmental Service Providers (ADPSA).
